IIT PALKKAD TECHNOLOGY IHUB FOUNDATION

IIT Palakkad has established IIT Palakkad Technology IHub Foundation (IPTIF) to facilitate the Technology Innovation Hub on Intelligent Collaborative Systems (TIH-ICS) setup at IIT Palakkad by NM-ICPS coordinated by the DST, Govt. of India. TIH-ICS, through IPTIF, plans to attract potential and harness expertise available nationwide, thus fostering research innovation, world class technology and product development. IPTIF has launched the ‘Oorga Grand Challenge’, a pre-incubation activity for students and entrepreneurs to pave the way for innovation in the national and global energy sector. The prize money is level-based, around Rs 1.5 lakh for designing after shortlisting, up to Rs 10 lakh for prototyping following the design review and up to Rs 25 lakh for incubation after prototype review. Oorja Grand Challenge aims to enable innovators to design and develop intelligent collaborative systems in the energy domain. Students, Researchers and Entrepreneurs can form teams with the ability to lead fundamental research, product development, industry development, and job creation for Indian and global energy sectors.

Brinc India

Brinc is an ultra hands-on global venture accelerator that supports startups from ideation to commercialization through education, product development, and global sales. It has programs in Hardware & IoT, Drones & Robotics, Food Technology, and Energy & Industrial IoT. These are comprehensive programs tailored for entrepreneurs looking for speed, access, and the know-how to build successful companies. Brinc through its programs provides supportive services and capital to help founders move as quickly as they possibly can to launch their businesses. Brinc India Hardware & IoT Program is the startup accelerator program launched in collaboration with Kerala Startup Mission (KSUM) and Maker Village to promote the budding hardware and IoT startups in the country. The aim of the programme is to support selected Indian startups to establish critical, early stage validation and traction with functional prototypes. It will provide comprehensive support to mid-stage startups that already have a working prototype and are ready to move to their design for manufacturing (DFM) phase. Under the programme, Brinc along with KSUM and Maker Village will invest in teams across three gates. The selected teams who progress through the programme levels can receive up to $250K in investment and additional support services to develop their DFM products and bring their businesses to market.
